Istria is the northwestern region and the largest peninsula of Croatia, a combination of blue (beautiful coastline) and green part (inner part), is rich in Mediterranean vegetation.

Istria is the northwestern region and the largest peninsula of Croatia, a combination of blue (beautiful coastline) and green part (inner part), is rich in Mediterranean vegetation.

Region has a long tradition of tourism, in which intertwine the various cultures, civilizations and customs. Visible traces of the many well-preserved archaeological, historic and cultural monuments of different ethnic cultures and times, is the testimony of its turbulent history. Was named after the ancient inhabitants of the Illyrian tribe Histri.
Geographical location (close to Italy, Slovenia and Austria), mediterranean climate, warm sea, exceptional natural beauty, manny beautifull beaches determining the Istria that already in the 19th century, began to develop rapidly as a popular tourist destination, with an average of 2300 sun hours per year.

National Park Brijuni is a part of, with exceptionally preserved nature and biodiversity. On Brijuni rested Emperor Franz Joseph and Queen of England, and numerous heads of state in modern times. Region abounds in a small town with its small, picturesque streets, friendly and hospitable people. Pazin is the administrative center and largest city is Pula , which is economic and tourist center.
