Pro-Travel Company organizes transfers by luxury cars and at client's request the driver becomes a guide for a tourist travel.
Considering the distance, all destinations in Croatia and the region are easily accessible. In reality, however, because of the poorly organized timetables or the lack of regular train, airplane or bus services, it is impossible to attend several business meetings in the region in a few days without your own transport.
Working in one of Zagreb's top hotels for years, Igor Horvatić daily encountered such problems and guests who wanted a reliable driver with a comfortable car who would be their guide and thus add to a business travel and make it a tourist experience as well. At first, Horvatić helped guests and eventually he founded Pro-Travel, which operates under the ProAnd d.o.o company, and specializes in boutique travel in Croatia and the region.
Doing business and travelling
We organize travels wholly upon request and needs of each client. We organize business travels throughout the region, mostly in Slovenia, Croatia and Serbia. Most transfers take place between Zagreb and Ljubljana, as between these two cities there are only train services and it is only an hour-and-a-half drive. In addition, we often organize trips to Belgrade and Rijeka. If the client comes to Zagreb for the first time, he usually wants to see the sights and get to know the city beyond the tourist trails, so we suggest excursions and restaurants. If there is time for half-day excursions, we take them on a tour of the Croatian Zagorje castles, or to Varaždin and the Plitvice Lakes and we organize visits to good restaurants and wineries. Americans find Kumrovec particularly interesting, as Tito's birthplace with a nice ethno-village and if they have more time they can visit the Trakošćan castle as well. We offer days out to Zadar, Istria, Trieste, Venice, Budapest and Vienna... These cities are a three-hour drive from Zagreb so many guests from other continents are delighted at the opportunity to visit the famous European capitals while on a business visit to Croatia. If you leave early, you can spend the whole day there. Although we have some tailor made tours, they can always match the needs and wishes of the client with a driver, at their disposal all the time, who speaks their language, or a foreign language that they understand. Lately we often drive to a delightful historic city of Ilok, with an excellent winery at Ilok basement and excellent cuisine in the renovated Principovac castle - Horvatić explains.
This company's services are used by clients who want more than just rent-a-car, a full service starting from Meet and Greet at the airport, driving to all destinations and organizing lunch, excursion and accommodation in small, exclusive hotels.
- The client can get to know the region and local customs with us, as opposed to travelling in groups organized by agencies. With a local guide who will tell them not only about history, but also where to spend the evening, eat best and where the wine cellars and good shops are, the customers can get to know places that they visits from the perspective of a man who lives there - recommends our interlocutor.
Pro-Travel vehicle fleet provides luxury vehicles - Jaguar XF, Mercedes E-Class, Mercedes Viano, drivers speak English and at client's request we engage those who speak Russian, Italian, German or French.
